"Im the 2nd owner of my house for almost 4yrs now. I have no idea how long the aircon has been serviced. I called Rocklin Heat & Air co, for regular maintenance check yesterday, as recommended by my daughter based from their nice experienced with the company. Upon calling, same day I got the appointment. They sent this service guy name FRANK. He checked the compressor, and hosed it to clean. No further work has been done. Didn't even go to the attic to check. He said there's no need. He assumed that there was a leak. Then he discussed about the options, like: changing the coil fot the aircon only will cost 7k. If aircon plus heater would cost 14k. I was overwhelmed. I didn't remember he mentioned about $450 estimate to do the air leak check. Since I couldn't decide at that moment, I chose to hold of. After the guy left I received an email for the air leak estimate. I was problematic the entire day thinking about the cost. I consulted my son in law and I told him the outcome of the service. He told me about the service they did on their aircon from this company. So they advised me to call them back for clarification which I did today. I was hoping It won't be a disappointment. I made a call and expressed my concern. They offered another check without additional charge today. CHRIS the service guy,came early than scheduled which was perfect. He did a thorough check, including the attic . Didn't see anything to be concerned about at this time. No further services needed at this time. I was relieved. Thank God I saved unnecessary spending. I thank Chris for being honest and not taking advantage of me a senior citizen. I thank Rocklin Heat&Air for the help to resolve the problem, for being reliable, dependable, helpful company. "Quoted and Installed 2 Heat Pump units in our house. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. The price was fair and the service was excellent.

Starting with Brandon providing a quote and explaining the pros/cons of various HVAC type units. He took the time to explain the different options and recommended the heat pump units for our house given their efficiency. He came out and provided a free quote with no high pressure sales tactics (eg buy today and get a 5% discount) like some of the other higher priced companies we got quotes from. I particularly appreciated this approach. Just facts and recommendations were presented.

Follow up after we accepted the quote was prompt and we schedule our 2 day installation for both units. Romney, Gerald and Victor came out to install the units. All very professional, nice, and courteous. Romney was the lead and was a fantastic communicator and explained everything that they were doing and the expected timing of their work. They made sure to protect the carpet, walls and attic entrance during demo of old unit, and installation of new units. They cleaned up everything nicely and explained the new WiFi enabled thermostats.

We passed the CA efficiency test and the local county inspection with no issues.

The units are working great and we have a much more comfortable home now.

"My 5 year old Carrier system stopped working. The technician removed one of two main circuit boards and reported that it was not powering up and had to be replaced at a cost of $630.00. I was disappointed to learn that neither the Carrier 10-year warranty nor the Rocklin HVAC warranty would be appalled to the failure. 5 years ago I replaced a 15 year old HVAC system that was nearing the end of its service life but had never experienced a failure. I expected that any failure of a new Carrier HVAC system would be covered by its 10 year warranty, and after discussing the issue with the Main Office I was informed that a warranty discount would be applied to the repair cost. The repair was completed the following day and the technician was thorough, professional and courteous."

He gave us a quote and we told him we would be getting two additional quotes on Tuesday and that we would be deciding on Wednesday which company to do the job. "Our home is 24 years old, and we have patched the HVAC system in one way or another over the last 6 years. The Circuit Board went out during the days where temperatures exceeded 100 degrees, and was replaced by a contractor from our Home Warranty company after 5 days, but it went out 6 hours after installation. They also noted the Driver Motor and Blower Fan weren't within tolerances and needed replacement, but never came back for a re-inspection to see what caused the circuit board to fry - TWICE.
We finally committed to full replacement and received 3 proposals for the project. Rocklin Heating and Air was not the "cheapest", but they were the most comprehensive.
Having worked in Surety Bonds for Contractors and Developers (Bid Bonds, Performance and Payment Bonds) I am aware of the possible perils of the "Low Bidder" who leaves many of your questions unaddressed.
Rocklin Heating and Air had the best BBB ratings and took the time to address every one of our concerns in a timely manner. We have a 3,000 sq. ft. single story home, and actually upgraded from the replacement system they originally recommended.
Rocklin Heating and Air installed a portable A/C unit in our bedroom so we could sleep at night. No charge.
The full installation was quick (less than a full day in the attic) and they cleaned up afterwards to the condition they found.
We haven't even heard the A/C come on, and it's right outside our bedroom window - it's that quiet.
